For the first time, Uplifter presented its latest development, the UPT400, at BAU in Munich, known as the world's leading international trade fair for the construction industry. For demonstration purposes, the leading door manufacturer Hörmann provided a common fire door. The UPT400 became a real visitor magnet at its premiere! Door industry professionals are convinced: the UPT400 is the perfect installation device for door transport and installation of the door leaf, especially for hooking into the frame. Something like this has been missing on the market until now.
With the market launch of this assembly device, Uplifter's managing directors Martin Lobinger and Peter Jauernig hit both the spirit of the times and exactly the right moment: "Public facilities, office buildings or schools are primarily evaluated by people according to comfort, functionality, aesthetics and safety. Especially in the area of fire protection, safety requirements have increased significantly," says Lobinger. The UPT400 assembly helper for heavy multifunctional doors meets the high requirements for the installation of soundproof doors, large-format doors, fire doors, fire protection doors or radiation protection doors and effectively saves time, energy and personnel. The basis for the UPT400 is provided by the UPT250, which is one of the company's bestsellers thanks to Update 4.0 with its innovative features. "A load capacity of 400 kilograms, an optimal power-to-weight ratio, lateral swivelling of the vacuum cross and a shelf above the tyres for the doors make transport with the UPT400 even more comfortable and safe," Jauernig continues. The manual side shift ensures maximum flexibility during assembly - unnecessary manoeuvring is a thing of the past!
State building regulations and respective special building regulations stipulate the proper installation of fire doors as fire protection closures in buildings in order to create safe fire compartments, i.e. areas sealed off from fire, gases and heat, in the event of an emergency. Proper maintenance of door systems with documentation of maintenance work is strongly recommended. Already in the planning stage, but also during installation and operation, fire doors in Germany must meet standardised requirements.
