Risks in case of non-compliance
Entrepreneurs who fail to comply with the obligation to carry out UVV inspections must reckon with consequences under criminal and civil law in the event of damage. Substantial fines may even be levied. In the event of an occupational accident caused by failure to comply with the accident prevention regulations, the Employer's Liability Insurance Association (Berufsgenossenschaft), as the body responsible for statutory accident insurance, may refuse to pay insurance benefits under certain circumstances.
The accident prevention regulations (UVV) represent binding obligations for every company and every insured person of the statutory accident insurance with regard to occupational safety and health protection at the workplace.
The UVV of the employers' liability insurance associations regulate the processes for the safe operation and use of technical work and operating equipment. It should be emphasised that the operator is obliged to ensure that the hoists and machines are inspected at regular intervals by a qualified person on his own responsibility. If this is not done, technical working and operating equipment may no longer be operated and the operator loses any further insurance cover in the event of damage.
The UVV inspections of equipment and machinery in accordance with the BG rule BGR 500 "Operation of work equipment", the BGV D6 "Cranes" and the BGV D8 "Lifts and winches" are usually carried out by our garage team directly on site. Only if there is no other way, if the problems that arise make it necessary or if it is simply easier, are the UVV inspections carried out in our central garage.
Our top priority is to pay attention to your safety and that of your employees: a first prerequisite for this is safe working equipment. We create this basis for 'safety with effective work' with our UVV inspections. Our trained employees take part in regular seminars lasting several days with a final certificate of competence at the TÜV.

Visual and functional inspections of the equipment are carried out during the UVV inspection. In addition, the owner of the machine is made aware of any visible damage or signs of wear and subsequently a decision is made together with the owner on how to proceed (repair, replacement of a component or postponement).
UVV inspections are often doubly useful:
On the one hand, as described above, the safety condition of the machine is checked and faults and damage are repaired. The other widely underestimated fact is: to avoid later, mostly higher costs by early detection and correction of small faults.
We offer you the following service with regard to the UVV inspection that is always necessary:
A timely reminder of the necessary inspection if it is a mini crane, mobile crane or vacuum lifting device from our sales department or, of course, if the device has already undergone a UVV inspection with us. The UVV sticker we issue is not only required annually, but also provides you and your employees with safety and thus also an important part of precautionary health care.
