Specialist for transport and lifting technology - Interview

1. What are currently the biggest challenges in the field of construction site logistics? Are there any restrictions, e.g. due to the Ukraine war, with regard to international transport and assembly operations?

One of the biggest challenges in the field of construction site logistics is the rapid availability of machines that can be used universally and flexibly for a wide range of applications. Due to worldwide delivery bottlenecks of various components for mechanical engineering, delays in the production of new equipment must currently be expected, which conversely means that the available machines are in use without interruption - including the rental equipment from the Uplifter machine park. Reliable and fast services such as maintenance and repair and a precise disposition of the available resources place high demands on the entire team, which we at Uplifter are able to meet.

2. Where is the trend in transport and lifting equipment for window and façade elements heading?

The trend in transport and lifting equipment for window and façade elements is clear: the transport and lifting equipment must be easy to operate, low-maintenance, compact, universally applicable and above all relieve the employees - keyword: ergonomics! Faster, safer and with fewer staff to carry out the relevant work, that is the industry's requirement, especially in times of a shortage of skilled workers. The craft must be made more attractive again! A modern innovation company works in window construction with the emission-free Uplifter Glassworker GW625 or GW1125, while smaller companies increasingly rely on the manual transport helper UPT250 with vacuum technology. Uplifter offers the right device for every area of application and every price range, even in special machine construction.

3. What are the criteria for product selection? To what extent are there differences with regard to the use of the equipment in new buildings and refurbishments as well as in workshops or production halls?

The most important criterion is and remains the customer's requirement! We offer a very wide range of standard solutions, but our core competencies also include the development of customised special solutions at our production site in Nabburg/BAVARIA. In every machine and system development, our customers benefit from our expertise gained from over 20 years of experience in lifting technology. With Uplifter as a partner for contract manufacturing of special machines, our customers can further expand their competitive advantage. The use of coordinated drive technology and powerful, maintenance-insensitive mechatronics ensures greater productivity, efficiency and performance in the company.

The example of the UPM1225 is a great way to illustrate the differences in machine use:

Use on the construction site:

With a tare weight of only 340 kg, the Uplifter UPM1225 reaches a top speed of 3 km/h, which is appropriate for its weight. With its compact dimensions, the battery-powered UPM1225 is quickly loaded and can be transported from construction site to construction site in a sprinter. Uplifter Movers are built to be both compact and efficient. The low load floor height with maximum ground clearance, facilitates loading and at the same time increases stability. A high number of castors supports the optimal weight distribution of the load on the loading area, ensures smooth running and even enables the user to climb stairs with the stair climber set. Uplifter tracked transporters are incredibly versatile machines with enormous capabilities and countless applications. The cost-effective and safe solution for load transport.

Use in production halls:

Crawler drives like the UPM1225 are ideal for transporting mobile indoor cranes. They are particularly manoeuvrable and can even turn on the spot, which is a great advantage in narrow and winding production lines. In addition, precise positioning is possible without lengthy manoeuvring. An almost maintenance-free travel drive ensures an ideal and fluid flow in production. Due to the integrated chain platform, this type of mobile crane is very manoeuvrable and can be moved quickly. An electric drive enables emission-free travel and indoor use. No matter what your requirements are, with a mobile and self-propelled indoor crane you are optimally equipped for all conditions and open for all future tasks in production.

4. Which product concepts, consulting services and services do you use to meet the needs of your clients/customers in order to ensure maximum project success?

To ensure maximum project success, an intensive exchange with the customer is essential. The perfect and most cost-efficient solution is our claim. Honest advice and fair dealings are particularly important to us here. We can draw on several models and components as a basis for the design, but we are also happy to develop and produce completely new machines. We are happy to create a customised development concept for our customers as a special solution or a sustainable optimisation proposal for existing machines and systems.

Professional know-how at the highest level and over 20 years of experience in lifting and vacuum technology speak for themselves. Uplifter, headquartered in Germany, is the expert for development, design and production of individual handling solutions. Quality MADE IN GERMANY. No matter if simple or very sophisticated special constructions for lifting and moving loads, all machines and devices are manufactured and tested in Uplifter's in-house production. With every delivery, our service technicians instruct the customer and his team in detail on how to operate the machine. Even after the purchase, our customers can rely on the competent contact persons at Uplifter. Service, maintenance and repair of vacuum systems, mobile indoor cranes, fully automatic systems, etc. are part of the complete package at Uplifter.

Another successful concept at Uplifter is the campaign "Rent, test, buy!". From the extensive Uplifter machine park, all equipment can be booked for rental and extensively tested on site for use in everyday construction work. Thus, Uplifter can give the customer the certainty to have found exactly the right product for his field of application.

Intensive product tests and machine demonstrations complete Uplifter's consulting and service.

Service at Uplifter - that means: a personal contact person, a long-term cooperation with our customers, a customer-oriented and intensive support, innovation management and much more. In order to always guarantee the optimal functionality of our developments from the special machine construction, we offer our customers the possibility to have the legally prescribed UVV inspections carried out by our trained service technicians. If possible, maintenance work and repairs can also be carried out directly on site. Of course, our customers can also receive technical support from Uplifter by telephone. Durability and efficiency with the best service - that's what Uplifter developments stand for.
